Scoliosis is an abnormal, sideways curvature and rotation of the spine, most often diagnosed in children aged 10-15 during growth spurts. While 80% of cases are idiopathic (unknown cause), it can also be congenital or neuromuscular. Symptoms include uneven shoulders, hips, or a leaning posture.
